Tea Factory Visit

Due to it’s geo climatic attributes, Nuwara Eliya is known to produce some of the best teas of the world. With highest altitudes at over 6,000ft, cool climes, and moderate rainfall the region possesses a highly conductive environment for the cultivation and making of the world’s most famous beverage. The liqueur produced from unusually small leaves is characteristic of the light tea produced in this region. There are two different tea factories situated in Nuwara Eliya which allows people to seethe process of making tea, and also see the smiling tea plucking ladies harvesting two leaves and the bud.
